#Game

Astray in Bogota

Together with a team, I have created a game that outlines the future vision of Bogota in Colombia in 2050. As an audio designer and scrum master, I was able to make significant contributions to this project and ensure that everything proceeded smoothly. Additionally, during this period, I also learned the fundamentals of designing 3D games, including coding, 3D modeling in Cinema 4D, and storytelling.

Firstly, I started conducting research on the culture of Colombia, specifically looking into the atmosphere and street life in Bogota. This provided me with enough information to collaborate with the storyteller and write a story that ultimately became the core of the game. After my research, I began coding an Audio Manager. I could then hand it over to the Game Programmer, making it easier to implement sounds into the game. I recorded and created many sounds myself, but also sourced and edited sound from online platforms using programs like Adobe Audition. I particularly focused on creating foley sound myself and relied on online open platforms for ambient sounds.

Additionally, I managed and distributed tasks for everyone using a program called Trello and the Scrum method. I had never worked with this program before, but over the weeks, I became proficient in using it. I still enjoy using similar programs to ensure the workflow remains efficient and that everyone on the team knows what to expect.

By closely collaborating with the Game Programmer and discussing which audio files were most important, we ensured that the core of the story was conveyed to the user, even though there wasn't enough time to implement all the sounds. Due to my love for music and planning, i extremely enjoyed working on this project.
